MiniWorx is an exhibition of miniature fine artworks designed to exhibit the personal artwork done by production designers, art directors, scenic, title and graphic artists working in the industry. This show is for ADG union members only. As a guild member, you are invited to submit work to be exhibited. All artists can submit up to three pieces. All members who submit will be guaranteed at least one piece in the show. Please see details and specs below. The exhibition will be up for one month.
The show comes down Friday, July 18th.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: June 10, 2008
+ All submissions sent on or before June 10th will be considered.
+ Send submissions through email only, with jpeg attachment images of the work to be considered, along with dimensions and mediums for each piece.
+ Please send bio or resume with all submissions.
+ Please put MINIWORX in the subject line.
+ Please only submit work you are willing to sell, as all the work in the show will be for SALE.
SUBMISSION SPEC SHEET:
Artists may submit more than one piece. Maximum 3 pieces, but only one piece per artist is guaranteed to be in the show.
All art submitted should be under 11 x 14" or 154" square.
If art is three-dimensional, it should be under 11 x 14 x 11"
Work can come framed or unframed, but All frames must stay under the specified size range.
There are no restrictions on style or medium.
This show is for ADG Union Members ONLY. *
* If you are not a member of the ADG, but have heard about this show through a member in the Union, we cannot accept submissions from you for this show, however, we are still interested in viewing your work. You are welcome to submit via email for consideration in other upcoming events at Ghettogloss and/or for our rentals catalog.
ARTIST DROP OFF:
All art must be dropped off at Ghettogloss by the artist during the drop off schedule.
The drop off schedule is as follows:
Saturday and Sunday (June 14 & 15)
from 12:00pm - 4:00pm
Monday and Tuesday (June 16 & 17)
from 10:00am - 3:00pm
Ghettogloss will be hanging the show Wednesday June 18th.
Any art that is not dropped off before Tuesday at 3pm cannot be guaranteed to get in the show.
If art is three-dimensional, and requires a pedestal, or specialized hanging, artist must supply display unit themselves.
All art that is dropped off must be bubble-wrapped for protection.
All art must come with a label stating:
1. Artist name
2. Artist phone
3. Artist email
4. A list of pieces dropped off, including title, medium, size, and a description of each piece, and RETAIL prices for each piece as well.
(Pricing works Wholesale/Retail 50%/50%. Wholesale is artist's cut, Retail is wall price.)
This list must be taped to each piece on the outside of the bubble wrap, and all labels must be typed (as we have had problems in the past with illegible handwriting).
ARTIST PICK UP:
All art in the show will come down on July 18th. Artists are responsible for picking up their pieces from the show within the pick up schedule.
The pick up schedule is as follows:
Saturday and Sunday (July 19 & 20)
from 12pm - 4pm
Monday and Tuesday (June 21 & 22)
from 10am - 3pm
If artist submits more than one piece, and only one is actually used in the show, the unused piece/s should be picked up from the gallery on the week after the opening night (June 22 - June 29) during the gallery's regular business hours (M - F 9am - 6pm and S & S 12pm - 4pm).
