NORRIS: There’s three movies I’ve done that were kind of the perfect storm, of cast and people you were working with and the content. They’ve always stayed in my favorites.

TOM:  Elephant Man being one?

NORRIS: Yeah.

TOM:  And I guess Days of Heaven?

NORRIS: Yeah.

TOM:  And go for the big banana, Victor/Victoria?

NORRIS: Yeah.

TOM:  All right. I’ve done pretty good today.  Not that we didn’t have this conversation before, but ... my memory is very short these days.

NORRIS: I should have left it at just two . . . and maybe Blue Velvet would have been the third.

TOM:  Well you’ve never seen Blue Velvet so how could it be your favorite?

NORRIS: But they’re all heavy period pieces. And I don’t like doing modern pieces. This is, period pieces are much more fun.
